My Brothers!

A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet asking how the Prophet worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, "Where are we from the Prophet as his past and future sins have been forgiven." Then one of them said, "I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever." The other said, "I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast." The third said, "I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever." Allah's Apostle came to them and said, "Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow my tradition in religion, is not from me (not one of my followers)."1

 

Dear Believers!

The balance which our Lord established for the universe is on extremely delicate scale. Even  a tiny deviation from the equilibrium can lead to horrible disasters in the universe.  A  small universelike humanbeing has been created  on same sensitive balances. Small deviations in his balance may lead him to extremism by time. May lead to deterioration in integrity of soul and body. Therefore, for a balanced life, it is significant that the soul and body, substance and spirit, the world and the hereafter can not be sacrificed to each others.

 

My Brothers!

The measure of life for believers, is to avoid all forms of extremism. Not to leave the world for the Hereafter, nor the Hereafter for the world; the principal balance is to establish tight relation between these two.  The believer must run away all his life from misguidance and seek asylum in guidance, he must be truthful to the orders of God, and to follow his Messenger.

 

My Brothers!

The path to sobriety is a balanced personality.  Luqman when counseled to His son;" and do not walk through the earth exultantly, and lower your voice. " 2 he stated  that our personality must be fitting the nature we created on and it must be compatible with our core essense.  The prayers which decreed upon us at specified times, the suplication “guide us to the straight path” which pouring dawn from our tongues in these five Daily prayers, the recommendation to follow the midcourse in charities at chapter Furqan, the verse in chapter Qasas; “But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world.”3 reminding us that this balance should be protected.    

My Brothers!

Believers, in satire, in praise, in joy, in sorrow, in calm, in anger are having sobriety and moderation. The believer is following midcourse in eating, drinking, clothing, in gaining and consuming. Our Lord Allah wants to guide us to His straight path and make us virtuous people through His verses. Therefore, he appoints relevant measures regarding all aspects of the life in His Holy Book, Quran. Since these borders determined by God; It is our part, as servants, to surrender with loyalty to the confines of Allah as like Abraham and Ishmael.

 

" O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors."4 By this verse Our Lord prohibits extremism and axcesses and commands to observe the borders of religion.  Also, The Prophet (PBUH) recommending the moderation in all aspects of the life, even in our spiritual lives and prayers;  "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights."5

My Precious Brothers!

The source of many troubles we are facing today is topsyturvy of the balance which is the secret of life. Because of the corrupted integrity between body and mind many people are dispersed into spiritual depressions and mental crisis. Many people are rich in materials but their spiritual World is like shipwrecks, utterly desolated, in poor Substance . While people starving in some parts of the world, the others are showing all kinds of wastage and luxury. While someone struggle to live under  the bullets, bombs, captivity and torture the others are pursuing to take all pleasure and joys as possible. While someone trying to show our supreme religion as source of violence, terror, cruelty and massacre unfortunately some still credit them by their excessive and rampant lifestyle.

Dear Believers!

Prescription of the mentioned all this negativity,  is the Holy Koran as a source of the guidance and healing to the humanity and following the Prophet Muhammed Mostafa  (Pbuh) who has been sent as Mercy to the worlds and best example and role model for the humanity. Enough if our hearts  follow to the Qur'an and The Messenger of Allah faithfully in submissiveness and obedience. 

I want to end my sermon with a suplication of the Prophet (pbuh): “O My Lord Allah! Forgive my sins, my ignorance, my intemperance in my affairs and all that I am not aware of but You know. O Allah! Forgive my play and my seriousness. Forgive my sins,be they undeliberate or deliberate, for all of which I am responsible.”

1762. Ebû Cüheym Abdullah İbni Hâris İbni Sımme el-Ensârî radıyallahu anh' den rivayet edildiğine göre Resûlullah sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem şöyle buyurdu:

"Namaz kılmakta olanın önünden geçen kimse ne kadar günah işlediğini bilmiş olsaydı, kırk şu kadar zaman yerinde durması onun için daha hayırlı olurdu."
